Pawesome Pets (“we”, “us”), ABN 18 734 694 320, is a small online shop based in Sydney, NSW. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we look after it.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, delivery address, email address and phone number.
- When you email us: your email address and whatever you include in your message.
- When you browse: our website uses cookies that keep your cart and checkout working. We also use Google Analytics to understand how people use our site, for example which pages are visited and how visitors found us. It uses cookies and collects information such as your device, browser and approximate location. It doesn’t tell us who you are. We also use the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) and the Pinterest tag, which set cookies so that Meta and Pinterest can measure whether people who saw our posts or Pins went on to visit or buy, and so we can show our products to people on those platforms. They collect similar device and browsing information; see facebook.com/privacy and policy.pinterest.com/privacy-policy for how each one uses it.
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes straight to Stripe over a secure connection and is never stored on our website; Stripe may use it to help prevent fraud (see stripe.com/au/privacy). If you pay by PayID, the transfer happens inside your own banking app and we only see that the money arrived.
Why we use it
- To process, ship and track your order.
- To answer your questions and handle returns or warranty claims.
- To meet our tax and record-keeping obligations.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t send marketing emails unless you’ve asked to receive them.
Who we share it with
- Our wholesale supplier and couriers: your name, delivery address and phone number, so they can deliver your order.
- Service providers who run our shop: website hosting, email and Google (for Google Analytics). Some of these providers may store data outside Australia.
- Authorities: only if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them to provide our services and to meet legal and tax requirements, which is usually up to 5 years.
Your choices
- You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you.
- You can ask us to delete it where we’re not required to keep it.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

If you have a privacy concern, please email us first and we’ll do our best to fix it. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We’ll update this page if the way we handle your information changes, for example if we add new payment options or marketing tools.
